About Me

(aka Mrs. Fancee)

I love design.  Making things more beautiful is what I strive to do.  I began this blog as a place to share my wedding obsessions creations.  Through that process I learned so much and fell in love with blogging and design.  Here, in my corner of the blogosphere, I share our home renovation and decoration process along with blogging tips and advice in hopes that what I’ve learned will be valuable to you and inspire your design endeavors. Follow along on this journey with me!  It’ll be fun, I promise 😉

I seriously tell my husband like every update on your home building process, and he’s like ummmm… good for him, but I can’t build a house. And I’m like yes, together we can 😉 Well, if you ever make a trip to either of the two Chicago-land IKEAs I literally live right in-between the two of them, so let me know and we can raid the As-Is section together.

  1. Naomi, I appreciate your blog, from your personal introduction to the MBTI decorating tips. I would like to say thank you because as a Fellow ENTP, I use MBTI and strengthsfinder as a way to read people and create ways to help them find their way. I also, share some common threads, if don’t mind I mention a few. First, you hit the target, Jesus gave it all for us and that is why we’re here. To that note, I’d like to add that I’ve found that I am purposed to be a church planter, developer, and an ecclesiologist. Which I plan to go to school to sharpen my saw to do. I’m a product of eight years of Fine Arts background as well, and I enjoy making things more efficient and more effective. Driven for improvement and innovation. My wife is an ESFJ and you hit the target on both of us. She sometimes gets annoyed by me noting the clues that she is a host and a provider. She actually planned and organized our vow renewal ceremony and nailed, and is purposed by our Creator to be a LMFT. No Surprise there. And one last thing, odd but true, I was born in Centreville, IL and as a baby moved to Mississippi to be raised by my Grandmother, so one more small yet common thread there. Thanks Naomi.
