A Thrifted Find

Last week while perusing the local thrift stores I found this beautiful gold oval mirror. I just love how it classes up our living room!

I’ve been searching through thrift stores a lot recently to find frames and art for the picture shelf we are currently building (more on this soon, hopefully!).

Originally for this part of the wall the plan was to hang a medium mirror and then Mr. Fancee’s antlers next to it in a little gallery wall.  But now I’m thinking this may be too big for that plan…  Here are some pictures that kind of capture what I had in my mind.

The vignette created above the door in this farmhouse foyer is similar to the size I had in mind for above our loveseat.

Here there is a large oval mirror paired with antlers and a frame.  We will see….

On a fun side note, Mr. Fancee built a fishing pole box last week.  This solved a serious problem… every time we went grocery shopping we couldn’t put the food in the trunk for fear it would crush his fishing poles. 😉

Well now, never fear!  His poles have a nice safe spot to rest in between fishing trips. 🙂

What do you think of the mirror?  Should I still attempt to hang the antlers with it?  Thanks for visiting! 🙂
